Hong Kong Science Park is an essential element in the city’s strategic vision to diversify its economy and become an international hub for science and innovation. In support of this vision, a science and technology eco-system with state-of-the-art facilities was built. The 22-hectare complex is divided into three phases, linked by an atrium. Hong Kong Science Park Expansion Stage 1 (SPX1) was commissioned after Phase 3 of the Park was successfully completed. The project involves building two towers with various R&D facilities, laboratories, offices, retail spaces and eateries, with a gross floor area of approximately 76,000 square metres. The development introduces innovative green technologies and sustainable architecture on an unprecedented scale to Hong Kong.
