Opened in March 2017, Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong is a multi-specialty private hospital. The project included constructing an 8-storey hospital with a basement and two wings, allowing the hospital to offer clinical services in more than 35 specialties and subspecialties. The hospital is also a full-scale teaching hospital that provides clinical training to medical students of the HKU Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. With a total capacity of 500 beds, the hospital has a gross floor area of 46,750 square metres. The project was valued at HK$2.6B. As the budget for the project was extremely tight, our team at Beria had to exercise stringent cost control on variations so as to keep the project cost within the budget.
