Project Description

Founded in 1915, St. Paul’s Co-educational College is a highly prestigious secondary school in Hong Kong and one of the top ranking schools for both the HKDSE and the IB examinations. The campus at MacDonnell Road is classified as a Grade III Historical Building. In 2008, a new wing project, the LCYM building, was launched. The project had to provide modern education facilities whilst matching the style of the existing Grade III historical main building. The construction process and materials therefore had to be selected with extra caution. With Beria’s assistance, the construction of the LCYM building was completed in 2011. The 14-storey building has a total floor area of 9,969 m², and includes a new cafeteria and a hostel with 81 beds for students. The new wing features special designs such as fixed glass fins and aluminium fins at the building envelope and the internal courtyard.
