The University of Hong Kong is set to open its new Pokfield Campus from 2025, creating a contemporary hub that will bring together and inspire academics, students, industry and the community. With an estimated construction floor area of 146,000 square metres, the development is divided into three phases. Set to complete in 2023, Phase 1 provides a new space for the HKU Business School and a contemporary multi-purpose sports complex. Phase 2, due for completion in 2024, involves building staff residence and a guesthouse for visiting scholars. Phase 3 includes a state-of-the-art innovative teaching and learning hub with a world-class conference centre, scheduled to be completed in 2025. The project adopts forward-thinking building designs in order to create an environmentally-sustainable, walkable and smart campus.
