Founded in 1937 as the first Government Trade School, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University is ranked among the world’s top 100 universities and was the first institution to provide technical education in Hong Kong. In 2009 Beria participated in the GH Podium Annex project. The project cost HK$27M, with a 1,350 m² construction floor area. It features special environmentally-friendly features, natural lighting, roof ventilation, as well as shading for the West-facing façade glazed wall to reduce glare and heat gain. The GH Podium Annexe earned the Merit Award at the Green Building Award 2010.
